Company History

We’ve been improving packaging systems for over 45 years.

Buckeye Boxes was founded in 1966 by Robert Hoyt and three packaging industry veterans with a shared vision of building a company dedicated to faster response time, higher quality packaging solutions and services beyond the capabilities of the competition.  We’re proud to be a family-owned business including three generations with Robert’s son Craig Hoyt joining the company in 1976 and Robert’s grandson Chris Pieroni joining Buckeye Boxes in 1994.

Over the years Buckeye Boxes has diversified with flexible packaging and real estate holdings in northern Ohio and Iowa, but the company has kept its primary focus on the box market in central Ohio. Buckeye Boxes continues to have a strong management team dedicated to taking care of customers. The current Ohio corrugated facilities include our primary 100,000 square foot box plant in Columbus, Ohio, and our 55,000 square foot assembly and warehouse facility in Bellefontaine, Ohio. In 2011, Buckeye Boxes invested more than $1 million to increase both its capabilities and capacity. Buckeye Boxes increased capabilities including three flexo folder gluers and two rotary die cutters.

Buckeye Boxes helps customers improve their packaging systems. Our proactive approach discovers opportunities and provides solutions that reduce the challenges our customers face everyday to compete in their marketplaces.
